Chicago

Chicago

A little blurry due to the double pane window glass, but still nice view of the city.
Chicago’s first permanent resident was a trader named Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a free black man apparently from Haiti, who came here in the late 1770s.
Since the 1850s has been a dominant Midwest metropolis.
And as legendary guitarist Robert Johnson put it, Chicago has been a “sweet home” for the blues.

Marvelous view of this this city from the air... and of course, who can ever think of Chicago without thinking of "sweet home Chicago" and blues in general. V

A beautiful view of the city, but it saddens me seeing Megs Field Airport, which used to be one of my favorites to fly into is no longer there. V

over 2 1/2 centuries the city has certainly become immense....and yes, a home to many blues greats too....love the overview..
