Ball Moss
This dense, ball-like bromeliad is an epiphyte.
It perches on other plants but does not sap nutrients. Instead, ball moss feeds off nutrients and moisture in the air.

Interesting description.
I think mono was a good choice here; it's all about the shapes here, both the bark and the bromelaid. Dropping the colour brings them out well.

I agree with Julie. When I saw this thumbnail I could tell it was an excellent shot. I love the foreground/background play.
