December 31

My Back Yard in Sugar Land, Texas

Windblown Rose.
Another cold, windy and rainy day. El Nino has given us a damp winter!
We didn't go out for New Year's Eve as we had planned. I was still feeling a little punk from my head cold.
We ordered pizza and shampooed the dining room and game room carpets.
How's that for an exciting evening! LOL

How nice to see a rose - it's still beautiful even if it's windblown!
Hope you feel better now...

I can never get my head past the billions of $$$ spent throughout the world for 30 minutes of fireworks when there are starving, displaced & homeless people forced from their homelands. I wonder how many have life threatening diseases with no access to treatments.
I imagine you got more satisfaction from your glowing and fresh carpets than you would yawning and waiting for the stroke of 12... :)

I like your faded rose...proof that not all needs to be perfect to be beautiful. V

Still a beautiful rose, despite being windblown. Nicely captured, and I hope you feel better soon! V.

The title says it all; it almost looks like the near side petals have been blown out to the far side.

The heart of a rose. Happy New Year and feel better soon, if only the weather would cooperate.

Very lovely. The color is excellent, as well as the detail and DOF. V
