January 15

Sugar Land, Texas

I took a bunch of company deposits to the bank and took a few photos around the bank's grounds.

Southern National Bank (now called Prosperity) is nick-named "Monticello with drive-through windows".
Stewart Morris, chairman of Southern National Bank, was a huge Thomas Jefferson fan. He commissioned architects
to re-create many of Jefferson's buildings.
It is a bizarre little campus, built between 1997 and 2005. There's the Museum of Southern History
(formerly the Museum of Confederate History which is now politically incorrect), modeled on Thomas Jefferson's
Poplar Forest, and a reproduction of the lawn at Jefferson's University of Virginia.
After Southern National was sold, Prosperity Bank suspended the project, with only one of the lawn's buildings complete.

That's pretty cool! I was thinking that looked familiar, but the area in front did not match! Very creative shot!
