The Miss Million Airess was manufactured in November 1944 in Long Beach, Calif.
She flew over Europe with the 9th Air Force during the Battle of the Bulge, then saw action during
the Korean War with the 3rd Bomb Wing.
Her A-26C cousins also saw action in Vietnam, and the planes remained in military service until 1972.

I'd love to know who came up with that name. That's awesomely clear against a perfect blue sky, and rarely do you get to see props frozen like that.

There were some A-26's based at Norton AFB when I was stationed there in the late 60's. They were painted black and had hangars at a remote part of the base. Super secret stuff! Outstanding shot, Lynn. Best regards, Dick:)
