I Kiss the Soil As If I Placed a Kiss On the Hands Of a Mother, For the Homeland Is Our Earthly Mother

Pope John Paul II

I'm very fortunate to work in a pretty park, and have a one mile commute. This is a view from my truck window as I came to work.
The blue and white stucture is part of our swimming pool complex. My office is in that complex.
The white sails on the right are covering game tables that are in the Bocce, Volleyball, Disc Golf park.

Nice to still see some green. Our grasses have all gone dormant and we'll have brown until March.

Now that's a soul-lifting, feel-good scene ..... and I'll bet it has many faces, depending on the weather and the season. Beautiful shot!

It's good for the soul to work in a place like this. Many are not so lucky.

You are lucky to work in a beautiful place that you like and not have a long commute. A very nice morning view.

Yes, you do have a pretty site. I remember that Pope John Paul II kissed the earth when he arrived in a country. I have a letter from him regretting that he would not kiss the soil in New Orleans because he was entering the U. S. from Miami. I was to help him up off his knees in New Orleans. I regret it, too.

It must be a real pleasure to work there - not many people have such a wonderful workplace!
