General Motors FM-2 Wildcat NL5HP is a license built version of the Grumman F4F. Grumman stopped building the Wildcats in 1943,
but General Motors took over and continued to produce them.
This one was built as Navy BuNo 86777

Aces & Eights, the 'Dead Man's Hand', supposedly held by Wild Bill Hitchcock when he was shot dead during a poker game. Interesting graphic for that old warplane. Very clear shot, Lynn. Best regards, Dick:)
