Meant to mention its a shame that the wall to the external stair is made of random rubble that's totally out of character (and sympathy) with the dressed and coursed stonework of the main building - was it an afterthought or did they run out of money? ;-)
Great to see the laced valley detail and doubly interesting to note that the roof appears to be made of random width slates with diminishing courses - quite rare in our neck of the woods! V
