These little "parking lot" birds are so funny. They scurry about, and then stop suddenly with tail still bobbing, always just ahead of me as I walk.

Look's similar to our Little Ringed Plover (and acts the same according to your description) they certainly are great fun to watch. BTW a very nicely composed shot! V
