Serengeti, May 31, 2009

Packing up this morning, we set off for our 'day of flying' to get from the Mara to the Serengeti. Not sure why, but it didn't seem as long this year to get on & off of various flights & through various airports & airstrips. Maybe because Jamie was with us, and that's his everyday job, after all! Leaving Bateleur at 10:15, we arrived at Seronera at 3:30, where our driver from Warrior Trails, Jackson greeted us. First thing, right of the bat Jackson and Daniel spotted two lioness in a tree - our first tree climbing lions! But the highlight was later on, when a mom carrying a cub came strolling past our vehicle! What a thrill!
