June 3, 2009 Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara (Serena Lodge)
It's always an amazing journey going down into the crater to see all of the animals there. It was a good morning for sighting plenty of the old familiar animals - lion, hyena, elephant, and zebra - all the regulars! After a full morning, we took the Serena ascent road up and made our way to Ngorongoro Farmhouse for lunch, followed by the short drive to Lake Manyara. This year, instead of doing an afternoon drive, we opted for a wonderful bush dinner on the escarpment followed by a night game drive - both were great!
