Even with lots of ground to cover today, we got to sleep in a bit! Setting out after a leisurely late breakfast, our first stop was the Kichwa Tembo airstrip, to catch our plane to Nairobi at 11:30. After a short hop and jump (it's only a 1/2 hr flight in the Dash 7), we were back in the Micato vans, on our way to Mt Kenya Safari Club with a 'not so bad' lunch box from the Hilton Hotel. We arrived at 5:30 at the extremely elegant Mt. Kenya Safari Club, it was like walking into the past! You could all but see the ghosts of the past, the men sitting around comparing rifles and telling stories of their 'trophies' today, with the women sipping tea served by people wearing white gloves and tails!
