On the road again today, and as usual leaving late! We were trying to make a 3 pm showing at Dream A Dream Kennels of the sled dogs, but alas, we got there about 4:00. They hadn't had anyone at all that day, so they did offer us the tour, but as it was late, we thought we had better be getting settled in Anchorage somewhere for the night. The lady was very nice, she answered my questions on the Iditarod Race and introduced us to one of the dogs, a beautiful Alaskan Husky. And, as both mom and I are like two peas in a pod, we both bought a stuffed dog - so cute!
Once back in Anchorage, we settled in for the night at a public campground. Peter and Jim cooked a wonderful steak supper, while mom and I did some quilting a-la RV style.
