This morning as we were getting ready for our 'free day' in Lima, we experienced the most scariest earthquake! At 7:51 AM just as we were getting ready we heard a very loud rumbling and then the room started shaking like crazy! We didn't know it at the time, but we experienced a 5.4 earthquake that was centered about 15 km away from us in Callao! It was really scary, thankfully Jim had noticed the 'safety' sign in the restaurant downstairs. I was in my pyjamas, but didn't care, I grabbed my bag and Spunky and we headed down. Jim said he could barely contain the smile watching me clasping the bear and my bag in my pj's.
The rest of the day went fine though - we took a taxi to la Rosa Nautica, a not-to-be-missed restaurant in Miraflores that sits out on the water - it was delicious. Such great seafood ehre!
