Lima to Cusco Mar 22, 2008

The flight from Lima to Cusco was fairly comfortable, and not very long, about an hour and half. Ishmael, our guide over the next 4 days met us at the airport, and gave us an overview tour of Cusco on route to our hotel, La Libertador. Cusco is a very old, and historic city, high in the Andes. The rest of the afternoon was at our leisure (which translated, at least for us, meant relaxing & doing nothing!). We all met for dinner in a room set aside just for us, at the hotel's famous Inti Raymi Restaurant for an excellent Peruvian highlands meal.
