In 1937 there was a plane crash in the bush some miles from here. Bernard O'Reilly a local bushman found the plane when hope had all but been given up. There were 2 remaining survivors who were rescued from the very difficult forest. This old Stinson is a reminder of the airliners of the day and is a memorial to the occasion.
