London

24 pounder gun and cast iron carriage weighing 5.75 tons. Thought to have been made in the low
countries in 1607 commissioned by the Knights of Malta. Brought to England in 1800 and lay at the
Royal Arsenal in Woolwich till being brought to the tower in 1962. The carriage was made by John
Hall of Dartford, Kent in 1827.

Could you tell me the name of the decorative cannon in your picture. We visited the Tower of London, in September, 2009 and made a picture of it, but cannot remember the name or significance to the tower. Thanks for your help. Matt Limbaugh
