Now, I know that here in the UK our weather tends to be rather unpredictable, and that in Scotland it is not uncommon to get all four seasons in a single day; however, when we are told that it is going to rain, invariably it rains (well, since it rains 80 percent of the time, they're bound to get it right!). So, making the most of my day off and the mild weather, I stayed in the house, watched some DVDs and listened to some old music - of which more later. I know, I know. I am a lazy bugga... but I just couldn't be bothered and, in any case, Liam's friend Joe was coming over, and Liam wanted me to move his computer upstairs (just for the night) so they could both play games and send instant messages throughout the night. I rushed out into the garden before it got too dark - just so that I could truthfully say that I did leave the house - and get a photo of something green and natural - regarless of how good or bad it may be. So here you have it: a lot of effort and thought went into this. Back inside, I put on my old Pink Floyd and ELO records - the first albums I ever bought with my own money. Not long after buying them, punk rock burst onto the scene, and I was just at the right age to jump on that bandwagon, in my own reserved, small-town, Highland sort of way. Once I was into the Clash, Stranglers, SLF, Pistols, etc., ELO and Pink Floyd were seriously uncool. Now that I have reached middle-age, and Liam is embarking on his rebellious years, I am beginning to appreciate Floyd and ELO again. Altogether now... "Hello? Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me..." Having said that, just now I'm listening to Jimmy Eats World's 'It Just Takes Some Time"... sciatic pogo dancing roolz!
