Daddy-long-legs

Heck.... I've fallen a day behind again. Yesterday (today, that is) was quite hectic, and there wasn't much time for anything. Liam had an errand to run this morning, but as he doesn't like to be rushed (unless it suits him, of course), and since I was in no mood for a fight, we didn't manage to set foot outside the door until after midday. By the time the bus made its way into town, and I had completed the errands I had to complete, it was nearer 1.30 when we got to the bank for Liam to withdraw money for his new camera - a Sony DVD camcorder (to go with the JVC digital camcorder he got last year). The 'old' one, which he hardly used, will be going on Ebay within a few days - hopefully he will recoup some of the money it cost. Before going home, we went to the coffee shop for frescatos. Later in the afternoon, we had a family get together in a local restaurant in honour of Liam's birthday - seven adults and five kids, ranging in age from 5 to 13. I managed to slip away for a while to go to a local landmark and have a wander and take some photos before getting back just in time to pay our share of the bill. It was a pleasant evening, and the kids were all well behaved (they were playing on the climbing frame and Playstations).

Last year we were up at Reekie Linn

Daddy-long-legs is a spider in the US. That looks like a sketer to me. But it does have long legs.

This is a neat shot. The bug that ate the town or is going to eat the town. ;) Rene

Hey Stu, it is bugging me ;-) that I can't connect this image to your interesting commentary! Regardless, this is an unusual shot of a DLL, and I like it very much with the house in the background out of focus.
