Once Soccer AM was over, I headed into town to get Liam the Attack of the Clones, which he wanted to see before going to the cinema with his friend to watch the latest edition of George Lucas's retirement fund picture. Rather he than me is all I can say - I'm holding out for War of the Worlds. Once in town, I noticed that the Farmers' Market was there (kind of hard to miss, really), so I bought a couple of lamb chops for my tea. A quick coffee and glance through the sports pages, then it was back home in nice time to watch the English FA Cup Final - a good warm-up to the main event, the Scottish FA Cup Final, which takes place next Saturday. I will be watching it... I just don't know where yet... I need somewhere in either S. Martinho or Marinha Grande with Sky TV - or I might just stay in Lisbon and watch it there and visit Pedro and José the following weekend (although that will mean missing important World Cup qualifiers involving Scotland). Oh, the trials and tribulations of being a football fan on the move! Well, back to matters in hand... the English Cup Final! What a game! ManU couldn't score for toffee, and Arsenal could barely put their foot on the ball.... yet... despite being a very poor second in terms of footballing prowess today, Arsenal did what they needed to do, and ended up taking the trophy back to London with them. As for ManU... well, they get nothing this season. Can't say I'm too upset (sorry Ian!), but then, as I have told you all before, the Gooners are my English team. Now all we need is for Liverpool to beat AC Milan on Wednesday night, and that will just about wrap up ManU's season!
I needed a larger office last year. Some things never change
