Today we went for a long walk in the Sidlaw hills, just to the north of Dundee. We walked up to a Pictish fortress at the top of Auchterhouse Hill. Once there, we placed our stones on the cairn and enjoyed the sunshine and the view across Fife as far as the River Forth, across Perthshire as far as Loch Tay and Ben Lawyers and all along the Angus coast as far as Arbroath.
