A couple of weeks ago I was bemoaning the downturn in freelance work.
Things had been fairly quiet for a few weeks, and I was beginning to get a little concerned.
I don't mind dipping into my savings to tide me over.
I always replace the money once the cash flow has started again.
This time I was worrying that I might not be able to repay the money I borrowed from myself.
So, I applied for a part-time job: guaranteed money at the end of the month.
Then the freelance work started to pick up, and an old client returned with more work.
Then I got the job.
Now I have so much work on my plate I am having to turn some away.
I suppose having too much work is better than not having enough.
Although it doesn't always seem that way.

If Covid has taught us anything it is you never know what tomorrow may bring...a week ago I didn't expect to be waiting for floodwaters to lower.
Stunning photo but I wouldn't like to be on that bridge in a storm.
