I had to take Linda's car for its MoT and was told it would only take about 40 minutes, so there was really no point in going home. Instead, I wandered around taking some snaps, testing myself out of my comfort zone, which has become landscape photography. I stopped at a burger van for a cup of coffee and the owner asked me about my camera and seemed very uninterested when I explained why I was there with this big professional-looking camera and lens. I saw someone taking photographs of a car. The car was spotless and had its lights on, and the person was using a tripod and a Nikon D810, so I imagined it would be for a car showroom or someone wanting to sell the car online or in a magazine. It got me thinking perhaps I should try it with my car. Maybe. Or perhaps I could just use my car to take me to a remote location up a hill or a glen or beside a beach instead.
