Living in Indonesia from 1994-1998 I made many trips to Bali, but these photos are of a return there in 2004, a year since I had last visited and almost a year since the Sari Club bomb. I found that the Balinese - who I had always had so much time and affection for - had rediscovered their gentility and kindness of old. It was as magical revisiting as the first time, and I urge you to (re)visit.
