In the heart of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and one of it's highest peaks (at 6593 feet) the only access to this resort is by five different foot trails. You get there under your own power or not at all.
For 97 dollars you get three huge (hot) meals, a bunk bed in a community style cabin and some of the best vantage points to see the sunrise and sunset inside the park.
This past weekend when I was there for a day hike the high was 43 and the low was 13. 60 miles away in Knoxville the temps were in the upper 60s.
