This is the Laurel Falls. A short drive from Gatlinburg, TN into the Great Smokey Mountain National Park and then a short hike (1.3 miles) on a paved trail to the falls. This is one of the most accessable water falls in the entire park. Since it is paved it is even wheelchair accessable, I think that is a wonderful thing. Warning, since this is just about 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg (the tourist trap of the Smokies) it is ALWAYS a very crowded trail. So don't count on hearing the sounds of nature, or even the falls for that matter. More likely you will hear roudy kids and scared moms yelling at their kids not to climb the falls "its dangerous". Oh if I only had a nickel for every time I hear that while visiting the falls.
