Ì lived with my parents in the house at the gate of Shurland Hall from 1930 until 1936.We always thought the Hall was haunted by a white lady.

My Uncle - along with the rest of the crew - were killed flying out of RAF Eastchurch on 4th June 1940. The Blenheim they were flying in is reported to have crashed in a field in front of Shurland Hall. I would be grateful for any further information about this incident.

My 3 x great grandparents, Alexander Till & Mary Rachel Hilder Till were 'of Shurland Hall' (from their wills & the local newspaper). They died in 1876 & 1878 respectively. On the 18761 census he was a farmer of 530 acres employing 20 men & 4 boys. Thanks for putting up these postcards!!
