QM S NEWMAN,was my father he was manager of the co-op hair dressers in Sheerness,and moved to Sittingbourne in 1958,he also served in the first war,in the Northumberland Fussilers, he was born in Stamford Lincs in1898 and lived to the age of 93,I still live in Sittingbourne.
