I lived in the Warden Bay Hotel for a couple of years in the early 90’s when I was very young (before the age of 5). My mum then Sharon McDonald and dad Steve McDonald were running it (didn’t own it though). We lived in the flat above. I have lots of memories here including a bit of a spooky one that I’ve always wanted to dig on a bit more. Did anyone ever know of a Sid who either owned or managed the pub?
My dad passed away in 2020, mum still around. Does anyone remember them? Would love to hear from people who did! Especially about my dad. I went in to the pub a couple of years ago for the first time in years (now The Cavern) and it was so completely changed from how I remember it. This old photo above looks more like my memories than it does now!
