I lived in Love Lane for 10 years and knew every inch of it. Obviously this picture is from way before my time, but I can't quite get my head around it? It looks like it is taken looking uphill towards Wards Hill Road, but I can't place the buildings on the right? Too close to the Lane to be the Hospital, and in any case too tall. They look as if they were in what is now The Garden of Rest. The top (?) of the Lane doesn't look right either?
If it is looking down the Lane, the buildings were definitely not there in my time, it was a horses field, where I picked field mushrooms. Any clues anyone?
