Hello Trevor I am wondering if I might use the three 1830 views of the dockyard at Sheerness for a presentation I might give to a local naval research organisation. I am particularly interested in HMS Formidable launched at Chatham in 1825 and refitting at Sheerness in 1830. She was a 94 gun 2nd rate ship and had a very distinctive bowsprit so that might be her in the view from the pier. Many thanks, Frances PS my mother was born at Sheerness in 1922. Her father worked at the dockyard as a civilian draughtsman.

Trevor, I'm interested in your three 1830 photos from engravings. Are these digital images, what would be their resolution? What would be the cost for each/all three? what copyright restrictions are there? Was Artist/Engraver D. Gould? What was original source document? Appreciate your feedback, John Byers, Perth, Ontario, Canada
