What a great picture . Marine Terrace in the foreground , as it was built around 1850 . No extra storey , no bays and all the railings on show . Wonderful .

Hang on! If that is the Glasshouse in shot, then does this mean that these buildings were originally 2 story, then re-built to 3 story with a pitched roof? Memory fails me a bit, but if you look at the Shrimp Terrace photo on this page, that's how my memory recalls it.
