It's about time they put some of the beach furniture back again as when you look back at the photos of the beach we have lost so much of its character. Information boards about what people can see from here and about the buildings behind on Marine Parade etc. The raft was popular with swimmers pleasure trips from the shoreline, fairy lights along the seawall. This year the seafront came alive for me once on the night of the carnival with the travelling fair firewaorks and sitting up the beach with people walking along the seawall and 2 October 2011 with the very hot weather lots of people up on the beach like when I was a child in the 60s. I was jumping off the jetty as well as swimming in the sea with my grown up daughter on that Sunday and it was great fun. Bring it back please.

This is the one by the Glasshouse Pub. It used to be fully boarded and glazed. You can see the old jetty in the background.
