Hi Trevor
Since 'lockdown' I've been researching my family tree, and have come across an old newspaper cutting titled 'Sudden Death'.
It was on Tuesday evening, about 7.15pm, 22nd May 1906, that Alice Maud Jelf (nee Griffiths), found her husband, Wilson Jelf, lying on the couch, apparently dead. He had died from a heart failure.
Wilson had been in the Navy, but before his death worked as a driver at the electric generating station at Queenborough Pier.
It was interesting to read Liz Jack's email to you dated 31st October 2018, stating that his Mother was born at number 11 Pier Cottages in 1909.
I would like your permission for me to added this picture to my family tree.
Do Pier Cottages still exist, or have they been demolished to make way for a retail park or new housing?!!
Wilson was my 2nd Great Uncle!
Trust you are well in our present situation,
Regards
Philip Jelf

Hi Trevor
I would like your permission to use the photograph of Pier Cottages. It is here my mother was born in 1909, she was the second child of 5 of George Frederick and Alice Elizabeth Sosbe who lived at No. 11 Pier Cottages. My uncle George lived further down the same row, not sure of the number but 19 seems to ring a bell. Liz Jack

Hello Trevor,
I am researching my wife's ancestry and her great uncle Henry Ernest Friend lived at 4 Pier Cottages (as per 1911 census) along with his wife Elizabeth Annie Friend nee Antrichan and their two children Henry Ernest Junior and Marjorie Alexandria. I would like to add this picture to the gallery of the tree. Could you give me permission please.
