I used to stay in a caravan site on a farm near the cliff edge. There was a pole we used to climb up. About 1958. We could walk down the cliffs to the beach. On this site was also a large wooden chalet

a cliff fall brought this house near to the cliff edge in the late 1950s or early 1960s.
at this time it was occupied by Major Stone and his wife Martha.
Warden Manor was associated with witchesbut is still in existence today.
I was born in Warden Post Office and lived there until the late 1950s and was demolished
in the 1990s.

the house in this picture,is this warden manor?,i have always wondered about its history,i used to mooch around it often as a child, mainly because my mum did too and always refered to it as the witches house!!!,i remember finding over grown ornamential ponds, and also being lucky enough to see it in its former glory befor it was stripped as it was about to go over the edge!(mum used to call it the witches house because a little old lady dressed in black used to live there, probably around 1950?)after the demise of this facinating house i was forced on to the edge of the cliffs to discover the even more facinating ww2 bunkers!,try climbing up a spiral staircase at a 30 degree angle!brilliant!!!look forward to an answer, julie
