David kettell I have lived in oak lane since 1953 when I was 2 . I remember the Royal Oak pub but it was closed as a pub it was a holiday home and to the right of it was caravans and a toilet I remember the old lady who lived next door to the pub . Me and my friend Philip pearn used to ask the lady for a drink of water from coming back from swimming down the cliffs in the summer holidays .
