Hi Nicolas, wow I only just read your message,not sure how I missed it. The tail marking from my reference books make a positive match with the Hooded Wheatear. It's a poor quality photo, I posted it because it's a very rare bird here in Qatar

Are you shure about the identity? I think it is rather a male pied wheatear (due to the large grey/white crown (hooded has only a small white crown not extending onto the neck) and the head shape (not elongated as in hooded). Furthermore the tail pattern seems to fit as well for a pied although not clearly visible.
