it's not an oil filter? looks like a poster edges as a 'darken' layer, maybe...it's cool, gives a nice graphic feel!

Everything about this image I find intriguing, from the gentleman's stance and expression to the treatment. Did you use the oil paint filter? When I have used it my images are not as crisp and clear as this.
