Aahh! Memories! In 1967, as an engineering student, I watched parts for the Olympus 593 being tested at Rolls Royce Parkside works in Coventry, UK. Later, in 1973, I watched the Concorde outfly the TU-144 completely at the Paris Salon at Le Bourget and then the TU-144 crashed in front of us all, marking the end of that aircraft as a competitor to the Concorde.
