I like the view from beneath--rather intimate! Nice title, too.

This is fantastic! Fungus and mushrooms are naturally fascinating with their color and texture, and these are exceptionally well shot.

Beautiful! I love the detail!
Karen Leaf08-Oct-2004 03:21
You too, climbing trees now, Larry? This is voteworthy.
Guest 08-Oct-2004 02:55
How did you get 8 feet up to take this? LOL! Great shot.
petesie08-Oct-2004 02:19
Mushrooms are hard to find around here, especially any as beautiful as these. Wonderful image, Larry.
Cindy08-Oct-2004 01:27
Awesome shot, love the angle and colors.
Anne Young07-Oct-2004 23:45
Nice closeup! Mushrooms always make me smile because I can't help but picture little blue Smurfs living in there. LOL -- I think I'm losing my mind. Great shot :)
Guest 07-Oct-2004 23:09
Beautiful shot! To me, they're dancing!
Wenche Aune07-Oct-2004 22:12
It almost look three - dimensional. Very well done
Cliff07-Oct-2004 21:43

Very nice and warm coloured shot!

Looks like there may not have been " mush room " up on that branch for you Larry. Hope you didn't risk a fall just for us !! :>) Seriously, it's another perfect voteworthy. shot.
joshishots07-Oct-2004 17:02
great colours and sharpness.
yosi aptekar07-Oct-2004 16:46
this shot is outstanding.
Guest 07-Oct-2004 16:36
from some reason this shot makes me think of pizza. love it. nice capture.
Guest 07-Oct-2004 14:54
I agree that mushrooms, other than those in the store, should be shot, not eaten. LOL The colors are "Fallish", and it's interesting to see how they are growing from under the bark...great shot!!
Larry Ahern07-Oct-2004 12:54
I don't know if these are good to eat ... My overall rule for mushrooms is if they ain't in the store they're only good for pictures:)
Costi Jacky 07-Oct-2004 12:49
Excellent closeup. Are those edible?
jude07-Oct-2004 12:30
Great perspective, Larry.. I feel sort of dizzy looking up at this. Nice richness in colors.. and "shrooms with a view"? funny
Gayle P. Clement07-Oct-2004 12:15
Excellent, Larry. The perspective is great and the shot looks 3D because of it's DOF and clarity.
Guest 07-Oct-2004 12:01
nice, a sort of epitome of the triangular composition. And the colors are great. Did you climb the tree? Are they edible?
Yvonne07-Oct-2004 11:47
Lovely tonings..soft and pretty. Are these preying shrooms?
René Gysi07-Oct-2004 11:31
Wow..great shot. Good composition with nice colours.
Karen Stuebing07-Oct-2004 11:24
Fantastic close up. I really like the angle too. You don't see many shot from below and it's a neat perspective.
Lori Rolfe07-Oct-2004 10:38
great point of view...so cool to see them growing out from under the bark like they are... nice with the orange-red leaf behind them... did you climb up in the tree at all to get this image???
Guest 07-Oct-2004 10:10
Yes, it amazes me how, obviously through coincidence, the same subject seems to show up in so many PaDs on the same day. Sometimes, almost the same scene appears in thumbs right next to each other! Do PaDers have some kind of inner communication? Aside from that, a very nice image here, as in the other mushroom pix today. Actually, as I wrote this, I had this thought that maybe it's because this is the time of year when mushrooms pop out? Is that right?
Argishti Khachik07-Oct-2004 09:28
wonderful Larry. Great composition and colors. Lovely!
cheers.
Adalberto Tiburzi07-Oct-2004 09:25
Nice. Ok that's the mushrooms week (see Lou) ;-)
