There is a small village near my home that has a tradition of placing over 500 U.S. flags in its cemetery during the Memorial Day weekend. They are installed at 6:30AM on Sunday and are taken down at 6:30PM on Monday. For several years I have wanted to get to the cemetery on Sunday morning and record some images of the flags and particularly the permanent war memorial that was erected there in 1973.
This galley is dedicated to all the veterans of our armed forces, especially my friend Bill who lives in Homer, Alaska.
