Karen Blixen Home

Karen Blixen is the author who wrote "Out of Africa" under the pseudonym of Isak Dinesen. The movie of the same name was based on her novel. The home was built in 1910 and has been maintained as a museum. The property originally consisted of 6000 acres, 600 of which was developed for growing coffee. Much of the original furniture is still in the home, but interior photos are not allowed. It was used during the filming of the movie.
