I was having lunch the other day with an old friend from my days in the Michigan State Police.
He asked me if I remembered where we were 40 years ago. We both started to laugh. We were both in
our basic training with the MSP. My start date was 19-FEB-1968. I finished recruit training in
May of that year and headed off to my first assignment in Paw Paw, Michigan, a small community
in the southwest part of the state.
