Water Drop Setup

Several people have asked me how I shoot water drops. This shows my setup.
I have a plastic yogurt cup with a pinhole poked in the bottom so it will
release a drop about every 4 or 5 seconds. I use a wine glass that's full
of water to catch the drops and shoot with a macro lens from about a foot
away. The wooden stool is to raise the yogurt cup about 36 inches above the wine glass.

The camera is tripod mounted and I use a cable release to activate the shutter.

Ingenius set up Dick! Way better than mine with a simple glass of water last year. And the results show.
