S&W Model 19, .357 Magnum Caliber, 6 Shot Revolver

I carried this gun for several years while working at the
trooper rank. The department would allow people to carry
their own weapon as long as it had been inspected by our
Firearms Unit in East Lansing, would fit into the department
issued holster, and was either a .38 special or .357 magnum
caliber. It has an adjustable rear sight, target hammer and
trigger, and a smooth action. I always enjoyed shooting it.

I have a nickle plated 375 Model 19 combat magum, 6" barrel, mint condition, only fired about 3 times. Given to me as an award in 1974 while with NYSP. Can anyone tell me what the value might be?

Not against autoloaders, but I really like this wheel gun.

I had one ,but sold it.. Great shooter, but was only a 4 inch barrel.... Troopers would still be better to have one of these than the current " Pray and Spray " Mind set of those using auto loaders... vote

I've owned the 19 and 66. Both reliable sidearms!
