I am heartbroken and sickened. I will never forget Martin's sad eyes and infectuous laugh. I did not know until the 20th reunion that he had passed away. My regrets for having lost touch with Martin over the years are heavy.

Oh, Martin, what a terrible loss. I haven't seen you since Adams House. Our 20th Anniversary class report came in the mail last week. I turned to the obituaries this morning and in counting them (we've lost 21) my finger froze and my heart winced to see your name. How could it be?! Thank you, Patrick, for this memorial. It's good to say good-bye face to lovely face, and to stock up on images for keeping Martin always in our hearts.

I am so saddened to hear of Martin's death. I visited him in Milan many years ago and have such fond memories of our brief reunion. He was one of my favorite people at Harvard and will forever have a special place in my heart.

What a magnificent way to remember somebody and immortalise him. Somewhere, somebody will store his image and even if this server would dissappear - that image will be perpetuated.
