Magpie Geese and goslings

Anseranas semipalmata

At last our local Magpie Geese have produced goslings. Here are the three parents and three of their babies; there are another two, but of course, it's hard to get that many in the frame at once. They are still very young.

There are usually three parents in a breeding group of these birds ..... two females and a male. This seems to be a successful breeding strategy. More images of this family will probably appear if the goslings survive!
