Wind River Mountains 2002

Photos from my 12 day hike in August 2002 across the Wind River Range of Wyoming. I started at Elkhart Trail Head amd hiked into Indian Basin. Then hiked xc over Indian Pass across the Continental Divide to the east side. Then hiked south towards the Brown Cliffs area and across the rock field near the small lake where Mike Turner became trapped and died. Then I crossed west over the Continental Divide at Angel Pass, and then hiked north on the CDT to Elbow Lake and then out via New Fork Park Trailhead.
