These scenes were perfect moments I witnessed while adventuring in the High Sierra mountain range of California, named the Range of Light by John Muir in the late 1800s.

I wonder if, after passing up to & through these lonesome places, you find your photography has changed. Has the camera changed how you see such vistas? We all know that itch to get the perfect shot—have there been times when you forgot to trip the shutter, or perhaps even to lift the camera to your eye? I think the older, film stills show that you've become a better photographer. Has your photographic eye—your aesthetic eye, your technical thinking—been changed by your very fortunate hours spent in these wild places?

Incredible photos Deems... only ever seen these areas under lots of snow. These shots are as good as it gets in the High Country. Great to see Billy Goat!

Now I know I won't be able to convince my hiking partner to come hiking without 2 lbs of camera strapped to his pack. He'll want to make pictures as beautiful as yours. He has proof it is possible now...
