I could hear the shooting for a couple miles. First thinking it was JoeAhole, out shooting stuff, I listened for whistling bullets around me, but then I noticed they were blackpowder sounding, and after awhile I walked into a middle 1800s style mountain man rendesvous right on the PCT. I was deep into the rendesvous culture in the mid 1980s, and haven't done it since. Lots of fun, and great people too.
